About the book

This book is very kid-friendly featuring whimsical, vibrant, crisp illustrations and a story told in perfect rhyme.

The author takes an age-old story and refreshes it to appeal to the 21st century, modern child.   The original story is found in the Bible and the engaging story references Genesis 6-9.

The story teaches young kids about the unshakeable faith that Noah portrays when God asks him to build an ark and then take care of all the animals on board.   He alerts Noah to the fact that He is sending a huge rainstorm that will result in the flooding of the entire earth and He warns Noah that all the non-believers will perish if they refuse to come onto the ark which will be a safe haven for them.  Oh my!

Noah, his wife, and his three sons obey the Lord's command and immediately begin building.  As they construct this vast monstrosity of a boat the people around them continue to laugh and to mock the family. They think Noah has gone completely mad.  They have never even seen rain before, forget an impending flood.  How preposterous they cry!!!  Crazy old man!!

Noah tries to do God's will and convince the heckling crowd that indeed this prophecy will come to pass, but they will not listen.  He finally completes the ark, loads the animals on two by two, (that God calls forth) but still the stubborn people refuse to enter inside.  God himself shuts up the door of the ark sealing it from an horrendous, turbulent storm that lasts forty long days and forty long nights.

Unfortunately all the unbelievers left behind perish leaving only Noah, his family, and the rescued animals to survive.  When the storm ceases Noah sends a dove to confirm that all is safe on the outside which allows everyone on board to disembark onto dry land.

God gives the survivors a special sign in the sky as his promise that He never again will destroy the inhabitance of earth with a flood.  Can you guess what that sign is?
