Hi I'm Sparrow, the Graphic Novel Guru! Today I am delighted to be a guest poster on Storywraps! We are going to be highlighting graphic novels on Storywraps every now and then :-) As a huge fan of graphic novels, I was so excited when Marilyn asked me to review this book. It is so incredible, and has been written and illustrated with so much detail and love.

Now lets delve into this book and join Max and his beagle Charlie on a whirlwind tour of New York City! One day after returning from a trip to outer space with his faithful dog, Charlie decides to take him out on a walk on a beautiful sunny day. They wander into the park and fall asleep under a tree, and we are invited into Charlie's dreamscape that moves us throughout NYC. Max runs full tilt throughout the city, while Charlie tries with all of his might to catch up! The characters we meet throughout the book are so complex: ruminating over existential questions, offering sage advice and assisting Charlie in his quest to bring Max back home. Charlie learns about life and love, and we get to learn right alongside him! I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves graphic novels, or for anyone who might want to get into them!

"Max and Charlie" is written and published by Brooklyn filmmaker and producer Zack Lieberman (@zdLLdz).This is the first book published through Liebermann's publishing company Exit Strategy.

It is illustrated by London based Louis Neubert who has illustrated for Nickelodeon and Disney. To view his amazing portfolio of artwork check out (louisneubert.co.uk).

Super cool tip: the book will be soon available as an e-book, complete with music and interactive animation (it is currently in beta)! Available for multiple platforms such as: iOS, Android, PS4, Xbox and even VR! Check out maxandcharlie.com for more details.

Now lets get to the good stuff! Here are some beautiful snapshots from the book :-)

Thank you to Storywraps for the chance to review such an incredible book! Please stay tuned for some more reviews from me!
